Navigating the System - How to obtain the Medical Cannabis Card

Bio

Angela is the co-founder and Chairman of the Georgia Medical Cannabis Society (GMCS) a 501c3 organization and a passionate cannabis advocate for medical and adult use. She is a native of Louisiana, a graduate of Southern University A&M Baton Rouge, and holds an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, a Master of Science in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University and will be graduating in May 2022 with a Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland’s School of Pharmacy. As a medical cannabis patient, she realized that the cost of medical cannabis was outrageous and financial aid was needed to help indigent cannabis patients. The Georgia Medical Cannabis Society was founded to help bridge the financial gap and assist patients in navigating through the process of obtaining the Georgia medical cannabis card. Along with co-founder, Yolanda Bennett, she also set out to eradicate the stigma surrounding cannabis by educating patients and the community about the benefits of cannabis. Angela is also a co-host on the CannaShame podcast hosted on the CannaShame Network (CSN).
